Field Trip France: Time and location, arrival and departure
Here are som slight changes and fixed times for the trip.
We will meet in La Tourette during 1st of October. You are free to arrive when its suits you the best. Geir and I will arrive La Tourette in the afternoon. We recommend not to be there too late in the evening as we will leave for Lyon in the morning the day after. As mentioned earlier: we are going to sleep in the monastery of Le Corbusier from Tuesday to Wednesday - this I booked by us.
You can either travel to France Monday 30th september or Tuesday 1. October, there are some cheap tickets directly from Trondheim to Paris 1st of October right now. Check out those tickets on www.finn.no. If you arrive in Paris 1st of October you can take the fast train with TGV from Paris to Lyon and take another train to La Tourette the same day.
By train from Lyon to La Tourette: Stop at the train station called L’Arbresle, the convent is at 30 min by walking or you can call a cab (10€).
The train from Lyon-Gorge de Loup is every 15 or 30 min during the week and the train from Lyon-Part Dieu is every 2 hours.
We will end the program in Paris Friday afternoon so that it is possible for you to have a cheaper flight home Saturday morning.
